Starting Pay Rate: $17.73/hour

General Description:  This position is a regular, full-time position working day shift, Monday through Friday and, as otherwise required, based upon the needs of the agency. All CCSO employees are considered 'essential workers' and are subject to working in any capacity/hours deemed necessary by the Agency during activations, including but not limited to, in-County and out-of-County deployments. The Accounting Analyst performs a variety of tasks, requiring knowledge of accounting functions, to support effective and efficient operations of the Agency's Financial Services Division.

Essential Functions:

• Agency fixed asset management
• Annual agency inventory
• Off duty detail payment management
• Weekly bank deposit preparation
• Analyzing ledger/expense accounts and preparation of journal entries
• Agency money receipting
• Routine office tasks to include back up of other positions, as needed within the division
• All CCSO employees are considered 'essential emergency workers' and are subject to working in any capacity/hours deemed necessary by the Agency during activations, including but not limited to, in-County and out-of-County deployments.

Education, Experience, and Qualifications:

• Two years’ work experience in financial accounting or related field required
• Strong skills in Microsoft Office programs including Excel, PowerPoint, and other software programs used in modern accounting practices required
• Inventory and fixed asset management experience desired

• Must have the ability to lift and carry up to 40 lbs. often
• Must be able to stand and walk for extended periods of time often
• Must be able to drive agency or own motor vehicle as needed

Requirements:

• Valid Florida driver license required
• Must be a U.S. Citizen or resident alien
• High school diploma or GED
• Must not have tattoos on your hands, neck, or face
• Must not have used, tried, experimented or possessed ANY illegal controlled substance in the past 12 months
• Must not have used, tried, experimented or possessed ANY illegal controlled substance classified as a schedule I or II substance (excluding marijuana) in the last 5 years
